Alicia Silverstone ( /əˈliːsiə ˈsɪlvərstoʊn/; born October 4, 1976) is an American actress, author, animal rights[1][undue weight? ] and environmental activist.
Silverstone was born in San Francisco, California, the daughter of Deirdre "Didi" (née Radford), a Scottish-born former Pan Am flight attendant and Monty Silverstone, a real estate agent born in England.[4]Interview, Feb, 1994 by Graham Fuller[dead link]</ref> She has two older siblings, a half-sister named Kezi Silverstone who is a rock singer and a half-brother named David Silverstone, both from her father's previous marriage.
